Huawei launched the base variant of nova 7 series, which was named as nova 7 SE, back in April. Now the company has uncovered the latest Huawei nova 8 SE in an event held in China. The phone greatly looks like the recently launched iPhone 12 with flat sides and a square shaped camera setting on the back of the phone. Have a look at the real photos of the smartphone:
There are two variants that are launched and the only difference between them is the chipset; one comes with Dimensity 720 with 5G + 4G dual sim connectivity and the other variant with a slight increase in the price comes with Dimensity 800U chipset and it supports 5G + 5G dual SIM connectivity. Both variants of the phone come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. nova 7 SE was launched with an LCD display whereas the latest nova 8 SE is coming with an OLED display and supports HDR10. The smartphone has 6.53″ display with 85.4% screen-to-body ratio. The screen of the phone has a water drop notch for a 16 MP selfie camera. The finger print scanner can also be found under the display.

On the back, the phone has a squarish camera bump which houses the main 64 MP camera along with an 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro and 2 MP depth sensor. The smartphone is powered by a 3800mAh battery which is strange as we are getting at least 4500mAh battery on other devices launched recently in this segment by other companies. But there’s a plus point as well, the nova 8 SE comes with 66W fast charging support and which can charge the device from 0 to 100 in just 35 minutes.

The rest of the key points of Huawei nova 8 SE include a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 5.1. The phone is only 7.46mm thick which is a good thing when phones are getting thicker these days and it weighs only 178 grams. The nova 8 SE has four color options; Black, Deep Blue, Blue, Silver and the phone will go on sale in China from November 11. The price of the phone is set at CNY 2,599 ($390 | PKR 62,999 | INR 29,150) and the high end variant will be available in CNY 2,699 ($410 | PKR 65,999 | INR 30,450). There’s no word on launch of the phone in other markets, stay connected with The Android City and we will keep you updated!
