Oppo unveils a new device with the name Oppo A53 5G in China which once again is one the cheapest 5G device launched by the company. The name of the phone should not be confused with the previously launched A53 and A53s as this one is a different smartphone.

The latest handset is launched with MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 chipset and it comes in 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM options along with 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone offers a 6.5” IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh and 120 Hz touch sampling rate. On the rear side, the phone comes with a square shaped camera bump that houses a 16 MP main camera, 2 MP macro and a 2 MP depth sensor. The phone also comes with an 8 MP selfie shooter. The smartphone weighs about 175 grams with 7.9mm thickness.
The Oppo A53 5G is powered by a 4040 mAh battery and supports 10W charging as well. The smartphone does have a 3.5mm headphone jack and finger print scanner on the side, embedded in the power button. It runs Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2 on top. It is announced with a price tag of CNY 1,299 which converts to $198, PKR 31,999 and INR 14,990.
