Samsung has announced the special Fan Edition of S20, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, which has a price tag that is more affordable than S20. The starting price of Galaxy S20 FE is set at $699 which is equals to PKR 116,999 and INR 51,999, that’s $300 less than the Vanilla Galaxy S20 5G. The FE is also available in two variants, LTE and 5G powered by Exynos 990 and Snapdragon 865 SoC respectively. The phone is a combination of style and performance and will gradually be announced in different regions. It is now available for pre-orders on Samsung.com and sale will start from October 2. The phone is available in following color options: Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud White. All color options may not be available in every market.
The latest smartphone from Samsung comes with a 6.5″ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p+, it is HDR10+ certified and runs on 120Hz refresh rate but only if you drop to 1080p rendering. The screen has a little punch hole camera setup on the front with 32MP selfie shooter which is probably the same one which we have seen in the Samsung Galaxy A series. The model also features an in-display finger print scanner. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE houses a 4200mAh battery which can support up to 25W fast charging but for that you will have to purchase the charger as in the box you will get only a 15W fast charging supported charger. The phone will be available in single SIM option and in dual SIM option as well and there’s a microSD card slot, but that will take the spot of SIM2. The body of the phone is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.
There are three cameras on the back of the phone in a rectangular shaped setup – a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP Dual Pixel camera with OIS, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The phone cameras support 3x optical zoom and up to 30x space zoom. The Galaxy S20 FE has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage as standard but there’s a 256 GB option which is also available.
