vivo V27 Pro & vivo V27
Vivo has launched three new smartphones under the V27 series – Vivo V27 Pro, Vivo V27, and Vivo V27e. These phones offer flagship-level cameras and impressive portrait modes, and they are all priced below $500. The main difference between the Pro and the regular version is the chipset. The Pro model comes with a 4 nm Mediatek Dimensity 8200 processor that can clock up to 3.1 GHz. The non-Pro model has a 4 nm Mediatek Dimensity 7200 processor with a maximum speed of 2.8 GHz. Both phones have a Mali-G610 GPU.
Apart from that, these two phones share many features. They have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The camera department is where these phones shine. They have a 50 MP main camera with a Sony IMX766V sensor that has OIS and an f/1.8 aperture. They also have an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2 MP macro camera on the back, along with a ring LED flash next to the top lens.
The selfie camera is also impressive – it’s a 50 MP shooter with AF that sits in a punch hole on the screen. Vivo has added many software enhancements for photos and videos, such as Real-Time Extreme Night Vision, Super Night Video, and Hybrid Image Stabilization that reduces shakiness in videos.
Both the Vivo V27 Pro and Vivo V27 run on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13. They also support dual-mode 5G on SA and NSA networks, as well as Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz/5 GHz. They have a USB-C port for charging the 4,600 mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. The battery capacity and charging speed are the same for both models.
The phones have a similar design with a 3D curved display and a punch-hole selfie camera. They also have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple camera setup on the back. The phones weigh 182g each, but they differ in their color options. The Pro model is available only in Magic Blue or Noble Black colors, while the regular model also comes in Emerald Green and Flowing Gold colors.
The Magic Blue color has a special feature – it changes its hue under sunlight or any other UV light source, thanks to Vivo’s ‘Color Changing Fluorite AG Glass’ technology.
The Vivo V27 Pro has three variants – 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/256 GB, with a starting price of $459. However, this price may vary depending on local market conditions. We have already reviewed this phone and found it to be an excellent device with an attractive design.
The Vivo V27 has two variants – 8/256 GB or 12/256 GB, with a starting price of $399. Again, this price may change slightly in different countries and regions.
The Vivo V27e is a 4G-only phone that uses the Mediatek Helio G99 chipset. It is designed for regions where 5G networks are not available yet. The V27e has the same rear camera layout as the other two models, but with different sensors. It has a 64 MP main camera with OIS, a 2 MP bokeh camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. The front camera is a 32 MP fixed focus one.
The Vivo V27e has a flat screen and flat sides, unlike the curved ones on the Pro and regular models. The screen is a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone comes with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. The storage can be expanded with a microSD card. The RAM can also be increased by up to 8 GB more with the Extended RAM feature in the Settings menu.
This phone has the same battery and charging specifications as its siblings. It has a 4,600 mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging, runs on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13.
The Vivo V27e is available for pre-order in Glory Black and Lavender Purple colors. The Lavender Purple color has a beautiful water wave motif on the back. The starting price is $289, but this may change depending on local market conditions.
